Fredericka and Will working hard for Oxted

Fredericka Hampson

Fredericka Hampson

Fredericka is the Liberal Democrat candidate for Oxted and has lived locally her whole life, building strong roots in the community. She has worked at both Wetherspoons and the Co-op, giving her a clear understanding of the day-to-day experiences of local residents and the importance of reliable services and a thriving high street. She enjoys making the most of what Oxted has to offer, from visits to the cinema and swimming pool to walks in the surrounding countryside, and has a strong appreciation for what makes the area special.

Fredericka values Oxted’s unique village feel and is committed to protecting it as the area grows and changes. She believes it is essential that roads, public services and local infrastructure keep pace with new development so that Oxted remains a place where people are proud to live. Her priority is to support a strong, connected community with well-maintained infrastructure and to ensure residents have a clear voice in the decisions that affect their town.

Will Howells

Will Howells

Will has nearly 25 years' experience working in the non-profit sector, including four years at a disabled people's charity and a decade in sexual health. His voluteer roles have ranged from transcribing historical documents to marshalling at junior parkruns. He has been a trustee of a number of community organisations, including campaign groups and performing arts and local history charities.

The new unitary council offers a fresh start and a chance to deliver high quality, cost-effective public services across East Surrey, but it will also be larger than Tandridge District Council and more remote from the people it serves. Will is keen to ensure that our communities are not neglected and will fight to see our local area gets its fair share of support and investment.
