Local Champion Tony Pearce Triumphs in Dual By-Elections — Pledges to Build on Legacy and Put Residents First
We are delighted to celebrate the two outstanding by-election victories that Tony Pearce achieved on Thursday 16 October in our community. In the county contest for the Caterham Valley division, Tony secured a clear win for the Lib Dems, topping the poll, and followed this up in the district race for the Whyteleafe ward by also coming out ahead. tandridge.gov.uk
From the outset, his campaign emphasised hard work, local roots and a deep commitment to the people of Tandridge. His victory reflects the enduring appeal of a candidate who listens, who understands the neighbourhoods and issues that matter here, and who has built trust through action rather than just words.
On his win, Tony said:
“Thank you to every voter, volunteer and supporter who made this possible. We’re building on a proud legacy of community service, and I promise to work tirelessly to support local people — their voices, their concerns and their aspirations will always come first.”
With Tony now representing us at both county and district levels, we can expect fresh impetus on key local issues: from high-quality services, neighbourhood improvements and strong representation, to real engagement and outcomes for the area. Here’s to a new chapter of active, people-centred local politics under Tony Pearce’s leadership.
