Stop Ticket Office Closures

Councillor Anna Patel petitioning against the closure of Upper Warlingham station ticket office.  She and colleagues Councillor Perry Chotai and Alderman Simon Morrow collected 126 signatures against the closure. Liberal Democrats believe that ticket offices are a lifeline for many passengers, particularly those who are elderly, disabled or visitors. Anna said: "ticket offices provide a vital service. Not everything can be done online or using a machine, and many people aren't able to or comfortable using them. Ticket office staff provide vital knowledge and advice in a known location where they have everything they need to hand.
