2025 marks a significant milestone for Queens Park as we celebrate its 125th anniversary. This anniversary coincides with an exciting new phase, as the park begins a major upgrade, supported by a £1.394 million Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) grant. Planned improvements include a new accessible playground, a refreshment kiosk, upgraded pathways, a learning zone, and biodiversity measures to support local wildlife. Critically, the Hill Parish Council have stepped in and secured funding to ensure the new toilets would go ahead. Surrey County Council will also carry out essential flood alleviation works to protect local homes. All improvements will be phased to minimise disruption. Cllr Ben Horne says, “Here’s to a greener, safer, and better Queens Park for the next 125 years!”
