Caterham Police Station remains under threat of closure. While there’s been no major update, the situation is still uncertain. Worryingly, the Conservative Police and Crime Commissioner continues to refuse to commit to keeping the station open.

In recent local surveys carried out by the Liberal Democrats, not a single resident supported closure. Cllr Robin Spencer says, “The message from our community is loud and clear. Caterham needs a local, visible police presence to respond to crime and keep residents safe.”

Cllr Alun Jones says, “We will continue to press for clarity and campaign against any closure. At a time when public confidence in policing is fragile, removing a vital local service would be a serious mistake.”
